Juliette of the Herbs
"Juliette of the Herbs is a beautifully filmed lyrical portrait of the life and work of Juliette de Bairacli Levy: world renowned herbalist, author, breeder of Afghan hounds, friend of the Gypsies, traveller in search of herbal wisdom and the pioneer of holistic veterinary medicine.
For more than 60 years Juliette has lived with the Gypsies, nomads and peasants of the world, learning the healing arts from these peoples who live close to nature. Juliette's well-loved and now classic herbals for animals and for children have been a vital inspiration for the present day herbal renaissance and holistic animal care community. Now 85 years of age, Juliette's extraordinary life story is as colourful and as exciting as her tremendous wealth of herbal knowledge."

I had lost these pictures.... and just found them!
WOW!
I learned a lot over the last presidential election. Sigh....
We had such a good time. Our group was a great size and nicely organized..... and had been WAY before the election! Paul was the ONLY presidential candidate that was actually rallied for.... and no other campaigns locally could hold a candle to our tenacity and vigor. I enjoyed the Ron Paulers because they all seemed like actively concerned Americans that were politically educated. NEVER had I come across any supporters of other presidential candidates that were truly informed and passionate the way Paulers were.
I don't necessarily want to say that, it's a shame, the way it worked out.... but I will not be on the Paul bandwagon the next time around.

Meet Brownie !
One of Daniel's co-workers is letting us do a week trial with his little girl dog Brownie. If it works out.... which is likely.... she is going to stay with us permanently. :) Looks like she's going to be my mom's dog also. She's the same age as Pan, and she and Pan have played together a bunch of times already while growing up. She is so well behaved, she makes Pan look like THE WORST DOG ON EARTH! Neither of them are "fixed" BTW. :) We're keeping them separated till Pan learns some manners. He doesn't realize what a brute he is!
She's very kissy, timid, and quiet..... I think you'd like her! :) Today is her second full day with us. Cross your fingers! ;)
